Collecting Random Musings

Well, another snow storm. Glad I got the new snowblower. It really makes things easier. The headlight was handy tonight since I wanted to get the blowing done before church tomorrow. Church should be good. Hopefully we'll have a good turnout after the storm today. Tomorrow morning we finish the Great Commission series we started in January. I can't believe it is over already. I hope that it makes a difference as we move forward. I have heard so much about the Great Commission over the years, but this series, and related focuses, is supposed to be a practical movement to real implementation and adoption, not just talk. Although it meant working in the office today, I was really happy to get some visitation in this week. I had a couple of great visits with people. So many more contacts to make, but it is so great to have so many wonderful individuals in the church family. Micah has stared pulling himself up and sometimes standing (holding on of course). That boy is moving ahead way too fast. :) I am glad that Nathan likes to sing. Most nights, when I tuck him in, we sing together for a few minutes. I am teaching him the songs my mom taught me when I was little. His current favorite is "For God So Loved the World." Of course, he calls it "Only Son". Esther's latest thing is to wrap things up as presents for the rest of us. I felt bad that we had to cancel the 30 hour famine, but I think it was the right decision based on the traveling. Now we just need to find another weekend to do it. I wonder where Rachel is. I've received no word. I am excited about the approach of Easter. The message series for the next three weeks are a change of pace from what we have been doing and will focus on those who will visit our church for the holiday. I am excited about the special Good Friday service that we are planning. It is almost finished. Well, tomorrow will be here soon. They're plowing the church parking lot right now. I pray that we have a great time of worship together tomorrow. Time for milk, chocolate, and bed.
