Something New

Tonight we start our Financial Peace University course. When Scott first suggested it, it was new to me and I wondered whether it would be good for us. Scott's enthusiasm was great and since our whole goal is to let people lead, I encouraged him to proceed. Response has been greater than either of us could have anticipated. I am very excited. This is a great opportunity for us not only to be taught, but to reach out to those in our community who want this kind of training. I am excited that we have some non-church people joining us for the course. I am also excited about the new picture directory. There had been a lot of talk about needing to do a new directory and then the rep for Olan Mills just drops by. We put out the sign up sheet early and already have had good response. This will be a great way for us to further build up the body. There are other developments in the works that have great potential. It is neat to see God working. You don't always know what He is doing or where He is going, but to see His hand and to be aware that He is at work among His people is a great and humbling thing. BCBC is His church and any progress or growth is a result of His work and His Word. Luke 17:10 "So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.'"
