As we came home from the work day today, both of the boys fell asleep on the van. When we got home I carried them inside and put them in their beds. It got me thinking. They fell asleep riding in the van, but when they woke up, they were home.
We are all on the trip home. Some of us, perhaps all of us, will "fall asleep" before we get there, but suddenly, we will be home. "we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye."
(no, I don't believe in soul sleep, so the metaphor is imperfect. :) )
