Tho I can't claim the great number of years that you have in youth min....I have certainly seen the same thing and been blessed to work with youth leaders who knew that relationships (rather than all the hype of technology or cool music or games or any of those other efforts to draw students by emulating the culture) are the basis of discipleship and evangelism. I to feel the same way. The methods and tools may have changed over the years but the need has stayed the same. Students as well as adults have a need to be 'loved-on' in a personal way. The Lord calls us out to live that type of lifestyle!
